Penalized and Fined

I purchased an item from abroad, desperately needed to get the item as I was getting ready for December holidays. When I called to enquire everyone was on leave with literally one customs officer. <br> Eventually I received help and was told to send my proof of payment in order for my items to be released. I sent all necessary documentation. I then got contacted by them saying I was fined because the seller made a false declaration on the invoice. They fined me R1500 for that which had NOTHING to do with me. I further more got quoted ridiculous amounts for custom and duty fees including their agency fees. <br> I ended up paying R3500 just to get my items released. <br> <br> I ran away from DHL thinking Royale was more efficient, this was a complete waste of my time and money. I would stick to DHL in future. I've had a similar encounter however it was delt with much more professionally.<br> <br> In the end I had two quotes which were completely different. When I called to ask why I was told to consider the accountants quote. <br> <br> Never again!!! Back to DHL??
