******** Practices with total disregard for its consumers
After listening to Wendy Knowler segment on Consumer Watch regarding this security company it is important that I share my experience with this dishonest company.
I have been communicating with Royal alarms for over 2 years requesting a refund for monitoring fees debited from my account after the notice of cancellation was sent through(attached is the email)
My late partner signed up with Royal Alarms for the alarm and monitoring contract in 2000. When I enquired about cancellation in April 2017 I was told much to my amazement that this was a 17 year contract and I had to give 3 month notice of cancellation which I subsequently did. I sent an email on the 30April 2017.
My last debit order should have been in July however the company continued to debit up until March 2018.
Initially the lady I had spoken to I advised that as soon as the radio was picked up a refund will be given to me.This was done however each time I followed up with Royal Alarm offices I was told the Director is not as he would need to sign off on the refund. At my last enquiry I was told to send proof of payment for the debit orders and I comp**** by sending them bank statements for the respective months(August 2017 to March 2018).
Now here’s the twist:
The company has since sold the Alarms Division to a another company called Amansi Security. I contacted Amansi and they have responded that they took over the client base with a clean book and therefore they were unable to assist me. The lady that assisted me advised that Royal Alarms sold them the book with a 1000 clients but they are receiving calls on a daily basis from clients informing them that had cancelled with Royal alarms a long while ago and that number of 1000 is fast plummeting.
Judging by the complaints lodged on Hellopeter clearly indicates the ********* behaviour of this company.
