Beware: ********* Deposit Withholding

My experience with Royal Abbai Properties was through an agent named Palesa. Initially, our interactions were pleasant—she was helpful during my tenancy and seemed to be one of the better agents I had dealt with.

However, things took a turn for the worse after I vacated the property. Despite countless attempts to communicate, both she and the landlord ignored my requests for my deposit refund through all communication channels. Being out of the country, I was at a disadvantage, and they took full advantage of that by refusing to engage. It was only after I escalated the matter to the Rental and Housing Tribunal that I finally received a response—nearly THREE months after moving out. This is unacceptable, especially considering that my deposit was contractually meant to be returned within 14 days.

This experience was frustrating and unnecessary, one could reasonably interpret this as a deliberate effort to withhold my deposit. I strongly advise others to proceed with caution when dealing with this agency.
