On the 6th April 2019 promptly at 8am I took my Mercedes ML 270 CDI for a service to Rivonia Auto Expert Bosch Car service. The car was checked in by the service manager Thuli. Thuli advised that not all parts were available however they would get it from the supplier. I felt confident that my car would be well serviced.I received a call at 12.30 advising me that my car was ready for collection. Once I got there I spoke to the service manager Khuli, who advised me to take a seat and called the mechanic who worked on my car. He advised me that a full major service was done, he stamped my service book for 167 668 KM. I asked the mechanic if he had checked the oil leak and he advised that it was coming from gearbox, I asked him if he had topped up the oil in the gear box. He advised that he will check while I was waiting thereafter he said that it was half full and he will top up the gear box with oil. I was then handed the keys and advised that all was in order. I made payment as required and I left. Later that evening as I was driving home my warning light flashed on my screen indicating that OIL HI . I checked this in the car manual that said the there was too much oil. Sunday morning my son and I decided to drain the excess oil. When I started draining the oil I realized that an oil change was never done as the oil was pitch black. We drained the full oil and replaced it with clean oil. Thereafter we inspected the work men ship and realized that most of the bolts that were holding the sump cover , the gearbox cover, and the engine cover were missing and the bolts that were there were not tightened. As I did not receive the old parts back from them I have no idea if any of the other work required for the service was done or not. I would like a full refund for the oil that I needed to purchase at a cost of R900. Over and above that I would like the car to be re-inspected by the Bosch Head office at no cost to myself, and all necessary repair work to be done at a high quality service that is expected from Bosch service providers. I will discourage anyone from ever using ROVINIA AUTO EXPERT BOSCH CAR SERVICE SHOP2 33 ON 7TH AVENUE RIVONIA JHB as they seem to be *********. iTS ALL ABOUT APPEARANEC BUT NOT ABOUT SERVICE.
