Terrible experience and tattoos done at Ross Ink

We had a terrible experience with Ross Ink Tattoos. We decided on a whim to go and get small tattoos (3 of us) on a Sunday and went through. We waited very long to get our tattoos done but we completely understood because we had not booked in advance. When we got to doing our tattoos the lady who did them did not seem confident at all - for one of our tattoos, she placed the stencil extremely skew and claimed it was straight, we had to intervene and point out that it was very skew and that it could not be tattooed that way. One would understand if it was a bit off but it was so skew that it made us quite worried about her ability. But we gave her the benefit of the doubt, we got our tattoos and they looked fine initially. After the healing period, after religiously following their incredibly lengthy set of aftercare instructions, they did not look right. Some places were very faded while other places on the tattoo were much thicker than it initially looked after being tattooed. Bear in mind that we all have multiple tattooes and are very fami**** with caring for tattooes correctly. We asked other artists regarding what could have gone wrong and they stated that the tattoo artist had penetrated our skin too deeply whilst tattooing us. We contacted Ross Ink and they said that they would fix it. We booked our touch-up in advance so that we would not have to wait so long and arrived early for the touch ups. When we arrived, they were tattooing somebody else during the time that we had booked. We waited an hour and a half after our booked time before we became fed up and asked for a refund. One of the other artists was sitting behind the counter the entire time that we were waiting and did not think to tattoo us since the initial artist was still busy with a walk-in. We would have thought he would offer to tattoo us since we had booked our time in advance, but instead the walk-in was given preference. Sharing my experience with someone at work, I found out that he shared a very similar experience with Ross Ink where he had gone for a full sleeve and they had hurt him so much by pushing the needle too deep and the tattoo had not come out looking good at all. He refused to go back and he paid for another artist to fix it. We eventually went for our touch-ups at a different artists and were happy to pay 3x the amount for quality work.

Because of this, we have warned people to stay away from Ross Ink and rather pay more at a more reputable studio where the tattoo artists are experienced and professional. This was an incredibly disappointing experience and a complete waste of money and time.
