The Zone Rosebank - OLD MUTUAL

I was at The Zone shopping center, where i bought coffee and sat down in the Eating area upstairs, I was the only one there at the time around 9:30am ish. The security guard came to me to interrogate me about the coffee i was drinking as well as advised me that they are not allowed to have people sitting there before the other shops open, after a heated exchange I escalated the matter but soon realised that its really not the small guys on the ground fault. This instruction comes directly from the owners(Old Mutual) as they base the security company KPI based on how empty they can keep the Food court area. This is very appalling service as one goes to the mall to shop and leisure however the insane instructions given to security guards on how they should treat PAYING customers in the Mall is disgusting to say the least. IF there was an option for ZERO stars I would use it. OLD MUTUAL and THE ZONE needs to make a concerted effort to remember that small things like these are the type of things that result in lower foot traffic, DISGUSTING DISGUSTING way to treat your customers and put it all on the security company as if they are the ones with the issue.
