Going Down, down, down to the Dogs
Rosa's gets one star because you can't go into the negatives!
When I was a kid, my dad used to take me to town with the train on a Saturday mornings and as a treat, I could choose a pastry at Rosa's Bakery.
Now I work in town, and nostalgia occassionaly drives me to revisit this landmark and seek something sweet.
Today was my last trip. Never again...NEVER!
The person supposed to be serving was sitting on the floor behind the counter - a helper from the back had to shout to her to stand up. She regarded me with total vacancy. What looked like a senior staff member was sitting in the corner disinterested playing on her phone.
This person serving pointed to the 4 samoosas (it's now 2pm btw) that was left under the glass and said "That's all". Instead I asked for a slice of Apple Strüdel. What I got was cut 18mm thick. Whilst I waited for it to be cut, I watched ****roaches run over the food behind the glass..ugh!
Unbelievable...I know...so I filmed it with my phone.
Someone else came out from the back with a pastry in his bare hand and put it back in the cabinet... I was DONE!
This establishment needs to close it's shrinking retail side and focus on supplying the industry, where at least the end-user can't see what happening with his/her food..or what's been running over it!
