The worst landscaper in South Africa

My wife and I, after 3 years of searching for our perfect home away from home, bought a lovely little cottage in St Francis bay with the intention to take our children to the sea during school holiday few times a year the house that we bought is a small little cottage nested in a beautiful garden grown with passion by the late previous owner over the past 20 years Hi trees, plants, shrubs all planted and cared by a very caring owner that made of his holiday house garden his passion Finally, after transfer had taken place we called a local "Landscaper" called "Roots Gardens" to help us clean up the garden with the intention to remove of the foliage and dirt that accumulated over the time the premises was left unoccupied. My wife especially took a flight to the coast for a day trip to meet the landscaper and to brief him on what she required him to. She met Nick Argo a senior gentleman that was recommended by the local estate agent. She explained in great details what she wanted and what she did not want, she spoke English to an English-speaking person and the so-called Landscaper understood and came back to us with a quotation for the cleaning of the garden as she requested. We paid the landscaper a 60% deposit in acceptance of his quotation After 2 days of his commencement my wife flew once again to the coast to discover that the entire garden plants, shrubs and part of the trees were removed. The Roots Garden’s Nick Argo removed every plant in the garden, major feature of our home. We were told by other contractors on site that the so-called landscaper dropped off his staff on site and never monitored their doing. The staff unsupervised removed all the plants in the garden What this unprofessional Landscaper, not only did not follow the instruction given to him but also ruined a property by removing plants and trees that took 20 years to grow I strongly suggest to everyone not to fall victim of this person called Nick Argo and his business Roots Gardens
