Ratchet/Disruptive behaviour from Roots butchery Phokeng Mall employees

I walked in with my partner on Wednesday 15 April 2026 afternoon around 14:30. 3 female Roots employees were gossiping about someone loudly. Let’s call them female butcher, Cashier 1 and Cashier 2 for better understanding. These women lined up while gossiping about someone. What if it was my brother or some one I know. We bought meat and got to Cashier 1 while they were still gossiping. Then the war started. Me and my partner reprimanded them to stop gossiping about customers- the situation escalated to the worst of the worst. There was a woman I saw the 1st time wearing Roots butcher uniform next to the cashier desk near the door. She was loudly gossiping about someone while the other 2 ladies in the next cashier desks were responding to her. My partner was also talking - the music was loud and the Roots employees were loud as well. I asked the Cashier 1 whom I was paying at why they are gossiping about customers. Female butcher the jumped in our conversation while she was arguing with my partner. We exchanged words - nasty words I am also not proud of. Cashier 1 led the disruptive argument to a point that she used intriguing words. She said that me and my partner will not abuse them and they should call Mall Security for us plus many other things. That angered me worse. This women abused our ears with the uncomfortable conversation with gossip we didn't want to hear nor intended to hear. This is after we I had an incident with KFC Phokeng Mall employees. Me and my partner went to KFC Phokeng Mall to resolve the incident in a humanly and calm manner. KFC Phokeng Mall is front opposite of Roots butchery Phokeng Mall. Just after that, this happens. I have been in a family property battle since I came back home in Rustenburg that as legality and my life has been published by my family to a point that I have had stranger provoking situation so they can open cases against me. Employees miss using their power just to refuse assisting me, attacks from stranger and worse. People feeling entitled to proof a point to show me whose Boss, people who feel entitled over and about my life, indirect insults and belittling. In the village most people know about my situation, so some employees and/or community members who know about my family property battle or think they know me try to proof a point that they can "show me" whose BOSS! Employees insinuating that what they hear about me is true. Why did this lady say the things she said! I asked my self, What does these women know or think they know about me and my partner? One of the stuff member (male) previously came rushing, picked and stared at me and my partner while we were selecting grocery and called a friend// colleague butcher 2. They stared at us which made us uncomfortable to a point that my partner complained to Cashier 1 and her response was that the 2 male Roots butchery employees were at work, can't my partner see. My partner then said, then why are they coming, rushing and stare at us instead of been at the butchery and doing some work. At that point my partner had no plan of an income or work . Prior this, the last cashier/Cashier 2 that was one the other end near the manager booth once bend over while my partner had to pass after buying some grocery last year. My partner had to brake urgently almost bumping that cashier's butt. I have been accusing him of knowing that woman since. Last Wednesday changed This, I realized that this employees have a personal vendetta against me and my partner. I also work, I also talk about People like everyone in the world but never literally show clients or customers that I know about their business or private and personal lives right to their face. Which is something I had to address with KFC Phokeng Mall that day. These are not the only Providers that employees have used for personal vendettas against me because of this property family battle. Showing me that I am unwanted where they work. This is thus far the Worst behaviour I have seen Every time I try to find out the registration for the property I live in. I have to have Police threats or Phokeng Reaction Force called for me. People provoking situations unnecessarily to get a reaction out of me, Roots butchery in Phokeng Mall is worse as my partner has been tracked in this situation. Why do I say your employees know about my personal life and using the knowledge to mock me an my partner? • Last year me and partner had continuous arguments about been promiscuous – the cashier that bend over backwards when my partner had to pass and the male butcher - Butcher 1 from the village ‘s behaviour made the situation worse- which from both of us looked as if we did the naughty with them. The truth is we both don't know this people personal – Cashier 2: we know her from her work place and the butcher – we know from his work place and he lives diagonal my grandparents home and the same street as my parents home (one of the properties in the family battle) • Cashier 1 that I had an argument with stated a couple of facts regarding me and my partner - she said we are not going to abuse them – me and my partner are battling a protection order against each for and abusive/toxic relationship • While the argument/disgusting behaviour occurred , there was a female manager listen to this – Cashier 1 kept saying “lekgoa laka ke le moo – like we were suppose to complain right there. Me and my partner previously told the same manager while she was at the booth that We would like to make a complaint. This was after the male butcher 1 and 2 stared at us while shopping. Kana, they took time to leave their work station to stare at us on the vegetable aisle on the next to the big freezers. • Cashier 1 screams “lekgoa laka ke le moo" – KFC Phokeng Mall did n’t want to tell me who their real manager or supervisor is. So for me, it’s like she is mocking my situation with KFC. Why would employees escalate disruptive behaviour in front of their BOSS and Roots security then threaten people with Mall Security and not try to calm the situation which the start by the way. Unless they were doing that with malicious intensions. • I have heard of Karen’s that get beaten by retail stuff members. This was not one of those situation. There's more to it than what meets the eye • Cashier 1 proposed that I wait for her outside insinuating a fight between me and her. I said I’ll do that then she said I was not her type. That throw me off to a point that I started to call her by her ******. Disruptive behaviour. What does she know about me and fighting I asked my self? This woman how much does she know about me • This is after female butcher asked me if I want them to gossip about me instead of the person they were gossiping about. I told her that I am aware that they have been gossiping about me but it’s funny that I know nothing about her. Cashier 1 then took control of the argument. Shifting the argument to me and her so she can proof to me that she knows way more about my personal life than the female butcher • I hope Roots butchery Phokeng Mall has cameras because this needs to be reviewed. I would like to approach Roots Butchery Phokeng Mall to resolve this but it’s difficult since Cashier 1 threaten us with Mall Security. • My cousin works for Roots kasi grill – when I buy there – There’s no problem . Why Roots butchery- Why? What sparked this and when: • My family published my rage and life from 2024 in attempts to proof how disruptive I am. To proof that I am a nuisance and do not belong in any community. To have their accomplices spot me from far, no matter where I go or how far. To chase me out of Phokeng my residential areas. For me to abandon the property I live in and die somewhere far. To directly and indirectly control my life. This hasn’t stopped clearly? • Recent incident in KFC Phokeng Mall 2026 • Previous incident in Phokeng Library 2025 • Not having electricity at home. I use solar and sometimes need to charge my devices while working or eating. So I would visit Phokeng Library or KFC. • I used to charge my laptop, power station, phone and laptop at the Library which is in the same mall last year on overcast weather or when I didn’t have my power station then I would charge an work at the Library. I was told I couldn't anymore by the Library Manager in the most ratchet way. Similar to the Roots Phokeng Mall's employees behaviour. There behaviour is worst because this women lined up for this ratchet behaviour. Disruptive and ratchet behaviour. I cannot listen to an employee shouting at me for what ever reason. We are adults and strangers to each other- showing each other respect in work places is the list we can do to honour the companies we work. And worst – abuse of employee power over a client or customer is mostly practiced by employees within big names and reputation. • Reputation and image of this companies and providers are negatively affected. • Clients feel uncomfortable visiting this stores. I know – I which we had more butcheries like Roots – affordable with quality meat. But we don't, where you find a huge bag of bones for only R30 • I have to behave with ethics an integrity while treating clients fairly at work plus practice this on my everyday living. Where your employees honouring your code of conduct? • Now me and my partner have to be afraid of visiting the mall because of Cashier 1 threat of calling the Mall Security on us – for what exactly? • When employees are treated unfairly by customer or client. A manager is called to calm the situation then security if the behaviour persist then Mall Security then the police of unruly behaviour persist. Your manager was just there, didn’t intervene. I though maybe she did want to deal with ratchet behaviour but why did your security tell my partner to control me when Roots manager and him a security are allowing employees to have such disruptive behaviour. • Cashier 1 also said that we undermine the Roots security, how and when. She undermined me and my partner Why because she thinks she knows us?
