Late Notice Booking Cancellation

I booked seven months in advance for an event I'm attending in a small rural town with the foresight that accommodation is scarce and would run out fast. Five months later and two months before the event, once all the accommodation in town has been booked, I get an email saying my booking has been cancelled. They then make a weak attempt at finding me other accommodation in town (which I know doesn't exist) and when they fail they fail they just 'apologise' and cancel my booking anyway. Looks like I'm sleeping in my car. Fantastic. Thanks RoomsForAfrica.
