Involuntary lock up during lockdown
I am hospitalised for almost 2 weeks. Dr Kenilwe Lehonhle was my Dr of choice, but not anymore. She lies about allowing me to fetch clothing, uses me as a guinea *** for medication (I have been off chemical medication for more than a year). My natural medical practioner, Dr Ferial De Jongh, can attest to my sanity, full functionality as a human being, capabilities, memory, etc. I have 5 items of clothing & am wearing them since I arrived. I have to wash and re-use. I told Dr Kenilwe that I want another Dr, but she refuses to listen to & respect me as a patient (according to her, I am a "mental, bipolar suffering patient"). Other patients who arrived after me have been granted freedom of movement & have been discharged before me. I came without my phone. I am deprived of the right to get married (there are potential suitors), she has totally isolated me from family & friends, my Islamic & secular education are non-existant (I memorise the Quran by listening to it). I don't have access to time & alarms. I have to constantly ask the nurses to wake me for morning prayers & keep track of the rest of prayer times on my own. I am a practicing natural practioner, but she has prevented me from launching my business successfully & doing my Islamic & medical research. I am a voluntary patient. I have the right to refuse medication, the right to leave, but she keeps on threatening me with going to a state hospital. She and another black male colleague have done this in the past as well. She says I can "think about meds", but then changes her story. I am more stressed, tired, my immunity is decreasing (have ulcers), terrible aches & pains all over, nausea, dizziness due to meds & I am more mentally & emotionally depleted here than at home. I feel that she her medical license should be revoked. I have threatened her with this more than once & this is her way of punishing me for challenging her "authority".
