Complaint for Rondebosch Medical Center _ COVID Surgical Ward

• My mommy called the hospital manager the morning to say my daddy was only on drips the Friday which is the 08th January 2020 - They never put my daddy on drips for two and half days.

• That is why my dad became weak – 0;31 min

• The doctor phoned which is Mr M Manie and apologize to say he don’t know why he is also has not been on drips and the doctor mentioned to my mother that he had to be blamed and the doctor also informed my mom that your husband/dad wouldn’t have died because of his stats is looking good what statement to make– Time in call :1;16 min

• Your dad was so weak when he goes to the bathroom his weak – my mom response was they ****ed up they never put him on drips – Time in call ; 0:38 min

• This morning is the only time which my dad felt he can feel that he is feeling much better because they never gave the drips to him two days before – 0;44 min

• They got agency staff nurses there because the doctor says a lot of people got COVID like the professional nurses and doctors and they not that experienced – Time in call ; 0:54 min

• However the Dr Manie says he apologise that your husband because my mom called the unit or hospital manager if my mom never have called they would have not investigated this matter - Time in call : 1;12 min

• The man was without drips which means he never received his proper medicine – Time in call: 1;08 min

• Now they still want to keep him he say from the 29th December and this morning he says this is the only day that he felt there is at least a little bit of life in him.

• He was admitted on the 8th January 2021 which was the Friday which they put him on the Drips – Time in call : 0;37 min and that was the only day which he was on the drip.

• My mom spoke to sister goliath who is the unit manager which my mom spoke to the day before but my mom does not know who is to be blamed but currently sister goliath she is the unit manager she had a duty to check as well – Time in call : 0:38min

• Even though my daddy never had the breathing problems that means his oxygen levels never went up meaning never increased because they never gave him oxygen– Time in call : 0:39 min

• I just got off a call with my father and he told me when he want to go and wash etc. he does not even get assistance from the agency nurses and he is still waiting for a clean towel so that he can go and bath himself.
