Romans Pizza ****************
I ordered pizza from Romans last night. The R129.99 special for 2 large pizza's. Imagine my horror when I was charged R40 for delivery for less than 6km distance from the store. Works out to R8/km ****************. The delivery fee was 31% of my order value. Where other pizza franchises and stores are offering free delivery it seems that Romans are taking full advantage of the Covid 19 lock down crisis. I will not be supporting them going forward. This is an absolute disgrace.

As per our initial explanation and response in this regard, The delivery fee that is charged is a set fee, charged per delivery within the 7km delivery radius, it's not calculated per kilometre. We did also explain that during Level 4 Lockdown, delivery fees generated by Roman’s Pizza Delivery will go straight to the fearless delivery drivers who are risking it all to get our customers’ favorite pizza to their front door. We also do this in our effort that this allows for employment to be created within the communities in which we operate in, and families who would have struggled might have a better chance to be able to make it through this unprecedented challenge.
