No stock so accept what you are given

Ordered 2 small thick based pizza's and a salad, on collecting and checking the order I queried that I had ordered thick base and was given thin base - answer was "we don't have thick base", I ordered Greek salad dressing and was given honey and mustard - answer was "we don't have Greek"! Am I wrong in thinking that this should be told to the customer BEFORE the order is processed and not just taken for granted that the client must just accept what is pushed in front of them??
