08/05/2026 I placed a order on the romans app for collection from the Gonubie Romans in East London. I placed the order at 18 36 and was told to collect in 30min. At 19 06 I go into the store and get the receipt at the counter and I am told " your order is coming now can you take the receipt". After 10 to 15 min of not hearing anything I go and talk to the people at the counter where I am told "sorry we dont know what happened we only put your order in the oven now it will be 10min" this is now at 19 20. At 19 36 another 16 min later. I go and talk to the manager who then tells me he is going to look in the back to see where it is. He comes out again and says "its in the oven it will be another 15min" so now we are at 1 h 30 min of waiting an additional 1 hour on top of what was told to me. Finally at 8 or just after the order is apparently ready but the manager says he needs another 5 to 10 min to cut pizza? Gonubie romans has always been pathetic, I was hoping a new location would improve the experience but it is still the same. You wasted my evening, even had the audacity to ask me if I am going to wait? Atleast if you sold a high quality product I wouldn't mind waiting but lets be honest you sell cheap ****ty ingredient pizza which is only good for a cheap meal. You guys need to go back to the drawing board, the service has gotten worse the product has gotten worse. If gonubie romans is franchised I think its time to re think that license. Please contact me via email, I want an update on what actions are being taken to avoid this in future. What is being done to mend my experience. And why did this happen and why does it continue to happen.
