Bad service

I called Romans Pizza Bothasig to place an order for collection and wanted a Tropical pizza with the bacon substitued for salami. The person on the other side of the line says that they are not allowed to substitute toppings! What a load of hogwash!!! Other pizza outlets allow this without any hassles.

Then he calls the manager to the phone and I get told that if I want salami I will be charged extra!! Why will I be charged extra if you keeping your bacon and giving me salami in its place???

I've ordered from them many times before (went into the branch) and was able to substitute my toppings! Why would this be different for a collection?

Not very happy with this service!! Needless to say, they lost an order and they seemed quite fine with it.

Hi Mandy,
Thank you for your response to my personal email and while I understand what you're saying it still does not justify that I was allowed to subsitute toppings in person but not over the phone.
If other pizzeria take-outs can handle this request, I don't see why you're unable to. What happens in a case where I'm allergic to pineapple for argument sake? I'm not allowed to subsitute this for mushrooms? I find this totally absurd!
This may seem petty, but I'm not in agreement with your kitchen staff not being able to handle such requests or making blunders.
Anyway, guess I will just keep ordering from Debonnairs then as they don't seem to have any issues subsituting topping!
