Do not get married here!
If I could give zero stars I would.
DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE!!!!!!!!!
This place is ********* AND USELESS. They block all their unhappy Brides and grooms from their Facebook and Instagram so that they cannot leave bad reviews on their page.
I got married there on the the 3rd of February 2024. The venue blocked my husband and I so that we could not leave a review. The wedding was such a disaster from the venues side (I still married the love of my life so I wont let them ***** that happiness from me). We were so confused as to why their page only has good reviews. NOW WE KNOW WHY!
SO *********!!!! Why have a business page with the option of review if you only allow good/false reviews??
What went wrong?
Our wedding co-ordinator (Leandi Verster), who is actually a managing director, told us and assured us that she would be there on our wedding day as our wedding co-ordinator to make sure that everything runs smoothly and that all events happen at the correct time. She never pitched on the day! Nor did she let us know! We were given 2 ladies to run our wedding. One of them, was their FIRST DAY on the job! The other lady had NO IDEA what was going on. The first thing she said to me as I enter the venue on my wedding day was "By the way, there's loadshedding so I don't think you'll be able to do your hair". Firstly, who casually says that to a bride like it's just ok to not get her hair done? Secondly, I don't even work there and I knew and assured the "wedding co-ordinator" that they have a generator!!!! She didn't even know! My decor lady went into ICU so I had to take control of the whole wedding decor wise. If only the "wedding co-ordinators" could've atleast done their job.
One of them comes into my room while im already having a breakdown due to the fact that my decor lady is in ICU, and tells me that by accident she fed us the champagne that was meant for our tables, so can she use different champagnes for the tables. Really?
Ontop of the fact that it took us 2 hours just to get a jug of water and champagne out of them. My bridal party was dehydrated.
There was ZERO co-ordination on my wedding day. Nobody came to let me know that it was time to walk down the aisle. Nobody let me know my groom was in the chapel. They didn't work with the dj, so both my brides****s song and MY WEDDING SONG started playing before I was even ready to walk! I missed the first minute of my song. They were USELESS. My groom had to take matters into his own hands instead of just enjoying the night because by NINE O CLOCK, our guests had still not eaten!!!
The "wedding co-ordinator" came to us at 9pm to tell us she was going home, and our guests hadn't even eaten yet. Pathetic. This is just a tiny snippet of the 100 things that went wrong.
One of our service providers told us that he has been to a few weddings at Rolling Waters and that everytime he has been there, there has been a new wedding co-ordinator, and that all the couples getting married there have had similar issues.
We tried to phone the owner of Rolling Waters, Danie Crous, and instead of apologizing for his venue ruining so many important aspects of my special day that I can never get back, he spent the 15 minutes of our phone call complaining about the review my step dad left on their page about how their milk in the rooms was off.
A company that cannot take criticism, says it all.
Here's some advice Rolling Waters: Maybe if you start actually listening to your customers concerns instead of blocking them from your page before they can leave a review, your venue will improve and you won't have to be sneaky!!!!
The only good part about this venue is that it is aesthetically pleasing.
Without a customer, you don't have a business. All you'll be left with is a hobby. Do what is right!!!! A wedding is a promise to God and should not be taken lightly, nor used and abused to make a quick buck.
