I booked 3 appointments the La Lucia Mall branch. I had booked 2 children 12 and under and one adult. I was booked for curls. My daughters, aged 12 and 8 were booked for wash and blow waves. I told the lady doing their hair that I want a wash and blow and a few curls at the bottom. She did not inform me of any extra charges to add a few curls to the bottom. All hair salons we have been to ask to add curls to the blow dry and there has never been an extra charge, so I was not aware. She curled their hair way more than the requested few curls at the bottom, and then charged me extra for the curls. She also charged my 12 year old an adult rate. 12 and under means 12 and under. Not 11 and under. My children play tennis tournaments and I know the 11 and under means until they turn 12 and are no longer 11. The other salons we have been to charge my 12 year old the 12 and under rate. Your wording should be 11 and under or UNDER 12. I had to argue with her to get the kids rate, and she insisted till the end that 12 year olds pay adult rate. I am so upset with what transpired as it pushed my budget way out and I ended up spending much more than I planned. Rolf Offerman should be clear on ages, 11 and under or under 12, not say 12 and under and want to charge a 12 year old an adult rate. You should also make sure that once something is booked and the client asks you I add something, that it is explained to them that the price will be increased. The curls did not even last a few hours, by the time we arrived at the wedding all of our curls had dropped. So they force you to pay so much more but their stylists can’t even do curls that last a few hours?
