No Faith In Rola Motor Group
We purchased a vehicle from this group on 12 August 2021. Exactly 5 days thereafter, the vehicle went into limp mode, and didn't move at all. I called the dealer, had it dropped off only to discover that the actuator was faulty and they would have it fixed. They fixed it, which they didn't pay for, they actually charged the warranty R12000, and this is deducted from my overall benefit limit. Drove the vehicle for another week, and the same thing happened, not sure what they did, but all warning lights were off when brought back into my posession. In November, I drove up to Gauteng, took my vehicle in for normal service, only to be advised, that my turbo is actually under boosting and needs replacement. The service centre quoted R45000 for the entire job, and warranty only covers R10000. Where do I find R35000? That's not all - the gearbox now doesn't select gears - had it checked, and it so happened that the mechatronics unit is faulty which they quoted, R37500. Vehicle is now parked at the repair centre, I have no excess funds to pay for this yet the values that they stand for indicates that you buy a carefully mechanically checked vehicle. I have referred this matter to the Consumer Commission for assistance as I feel like canceling the entire vehicle finance, based on the CPA guidelines. From date of purchase, to date, a distance of 11178km has been covered, and a cost of R95000 in mechanical repair work. I have called in and informed management, and to date, no return call, no email, nothing at all!
