Stay away if you want a professional job done

I contacted Roecom Electrical for a quote to install a solar system on a new house. I supp**** most of the materials and components and only wanted the installation done by electricians who would be able to do things to the relevant specs and safety. This was apparently too much too ask.

1. They did not have any safety gear working at heights. 2. They installed the panels in portrait mode at first, despite the brackets being made for landscape only, drilling a lot of unnecessary holes in my roof. 3. They connected red wire to the negative on one of the strings and hoped I would not notice. 4. They mixed up red and black DC cabling coming to and from the fuses. 5. They don't know how polarised DC switches work. 6. They just disconnected my battery monitor and data logger and used new battery cables that it didn't fit on. 7. They charged me for some trunking, fuses and switches they had to buy , which is fine and I paid for most of it, but then also charged me extra for fixing some of the mistakes above, some of which I even had to fix myself. 8. They promised a COC and registration of the system (Engineer sign-off) but they now refuse to come back until I pay extra for fixing their shoddy work. I have already paid the full bill and more for the extra components.
