Poor service
I arranged for a dessert and sparkler to be brought with our dessert for my dad for his birthday. I ensured it was done secretly at beginning of the night. This of course did not happen of course! Very disappointed! Then waitress came to discuss in front of everyone at the table when to bring it- so much of a surprise! Finally it was brought when we were walking out!! Definitely not great service! Rather tell me upfront it can't be done.

Firstly we would like to apologise for the misunderstanding. Your waitress was approached by your brother at the beginning of the night, to bring a Peppermint crisp dessert with a Sparkler as a surprise for your Dads birthday. Your waitress explained to your brother that she would bring it out when the DJ does the birthday song. Then you arranged with reception as well for the dessert to be brought out. Your table then ordered dessert. She didn't want to bring the Peppermint crisp pudding out with the dessert order as your Dad ordered a Creme Brulee. She was waiting until the birthday announcements. She didn't think you wanted the sparkler in the creme brulee, as you already arranged the peppermint crisp pudding. You finished your meal early before the birthday announcements, she then went to check with you when she could bring the dessert out as she was worried you were going to leave. She tried to be as discreet as possible. I understand your frustration but she was confused as she was receiving different instructions from two people. We do apologise for the misunderstanding and hope your Dad enjoyed his Birthday meal.
