BAD SERVICE FROM MANAGER AND OWNER

Good day

Kindly see the below if you could kindly deal with this matter accordingly. Please see attached picture of bottles.

On the 29th of December we went to the Roccomama's at Bellaires Shopping centre in North Riding, we entered the restaurant at 21:50p.m. and we were allowed to sit down and order. There were 4 of us.

Our waiter served us well.We paid the bill but we then noticed that one of the drinks which is the Soweto Gold Apple Ale had a funny taste and asked the waiter to bring the bottle which he had thrown away in the bin only to find that the bottle had no manufactured date and had no best before date, the drink was poured into a glass and only a sip was taken because of its bad taste, from there everyone started checking their bottles we also noticed that the one craft beer which is the copperlake light lager best before date was the third of April 2016.

We reported this to the waiter who then called the manager who's name is Clifford we informed him of the problem and he told us to come back tomorrow because there was nothing he could do, we then insisted that he assists us he still refused continued with his own "work" cashing up right in front of us and ignoring us. After 20 minutes of complaining he then went out of the shop to go and make a call at Doppio Zero to the owner. He comes back with an attitude does not say anything to us and just opens the till and gives us R90,00. We then refused to take the money due to his attitude and bad customer service as a manager towards us and insisted that we speak to the owner and that we would like a refund of the whole bill due to his bad attitude. We have a video recording of the bad attitude from the manager.

He then called security guard on us, who came and asked what the issue is, we informed that he calls his supervisor because they are not allowed to kick us out of the restaurant. The supervisor came and we informed them that we would like to speak to the owner after the owner refused to come to the shopping centre. The owner spoke to the security guard over the phone who we explained our story to and felt that we were not wrong. The owner had told the guards that they should take the bottles from us and we refused as we had paid for these bottles.

We spent close to an hour in the restaurant then the owner asked to speak to one of us over the phone, he spoke to Tebogo David Phalane we informed him what the issue is, that they have served us beer which is expired or passed the best before date. The owner then said over the phone that BB stands for the manufactured date. Tebogo informed him that is false. While Tebogo was explaining to the owner who's name is Petro, The owner told him to should shut up and Tebogo hung up the phone due to the lack of respect recieved from the owner of the shop. A best-bye means the optimal period of time suring which the manufacturer feels that their product will retain origjnal quality.

We as valid customers of Roccomama's feel very disrespected both from the managers and the owner of the restaurant and personally feel that that both have no place interacting with the public lacking the most basic sense of customer service and kindness. We wrote down our contact details and we have not being contacted till today.

We have decided to escalate this matter over to you as the head office and Hello Peter because to date nothing has been done and we are very dissapointed in the service revived from Roccomama's.

Hey Tebogo.
Thank you for bringing your recent experience to our attention, this is definitely not normal behaviour for our brand. I have your contact deets and will ensure that the area manager gets in contact again.
