DISGUSTING SERVICE

Unbelievable experience at Rockport in Canal Walk, Century City.
In a quest to find a decent formal work shoe for my fiancè Mogammad Ghusam Hamit , we purchase a shoes of R1599,95.
Within 30 MINUTES of purchasing this item, I go back return it for a REFUND.
Now, I purchased this shoe using my Nedbank Debit card, the store assistant called a 'Supervisor', Jason who happily processed the refund gave me a refund slip and sent me on my way. Under the impression that I will receive an SMS immediately like at any retail store that my funds have now been returned to my card, to no avail, NO SMS. So I go to the ATM to check my balance. And NOTHING.
Back to the store I go.
The shop assistant THEN tells me, "I'm sorry, refunds take 30 days to reflect."
30 DAYS?!? Are you serious? No explanation on why, no alternative, NO URGENCY!
I ask for a manager and her response, "The manager had already left for the day." WHAT?!? So she calls him and explains to him what just happened. He says THE SAME THING to her. So I ask to speak with him. His name is Ferry. He explains that they "...Don't usually process refunds on debit cards" so then why didn't you offer to give the money back to me in CASH? oh no, "no cash in the till." Well now I see why!?
He further explains that there is absolutely nothing he can do now, he needs to "... Call FNB in the morning and get FNB to refund the store before giving the cash back to me." WOW! So I have to waste another trip BACK to the store? Genius I tell you!
Head office is closed. Store manager already left for the day. No authoritative person I can speak to physically because the guy who processed the refund is on LUNCH!
Professionalism?
So I then tell him, shouldn't I, RIGHTFULLY keep the shoe since they still have my money? And he says, "no because the money is reserved to be paid into the account." I HAVE NO PROOF OF THIS. Nowhere in the store, or on the slip does it state that it takes 30 DAYS for a debit card refund to reflect the funds due to the customer!?
He then asks the assistant to write on the back of my slip a little short passage stating that a refund was processed, funds are not with me and that "THIS IS PROOF" with a store stamp. WOW.
Furthermore, he is only in at 2pm tomorrow.
WHAT?! You have GOT to be kidding the life out of me!!!!
So, onto the phone with head office tomorrow and Mr Area manager BRUCE? Hi, you'll be hearing from me too
