Unreliable customer service

I bought side tables from Rochester, got a message that delivery will take place the 24th of October and someone needs to be there to receive it. On the 24th I receive another message saying it will now be delivered on The 27th of October. Now I need to make another arrangement for someone to receive it on the 27th. Not the scheduling department or customer complaints could help or do anything but say sorry there's nothing they can do. What is the use of a department when nothing is done to ensure better customer service. Absolutely pathetic experience and would not recommend them.
