Unreliable 48hr delivery lead time

I bought a dining room suite at Rochester last week 25 Oct with the hope the hope of Rochester delivering on its 48hrs delivery lead time. I specifically asked for an estimate of delivery date and was told that it would be by Saturday. I am extremely disappointed that I called to followup on the 30th and on the 2nd of Nov and I still don't have a possible delivery date. How did they take my order of they were out of stock? I should have been made aware of the out of stock situation at the point of sale as I would have bought the same set elsewhere that was on salary the time
