ROCHESTER HOME DECOR BAD SERVICE

On 2019-07-10 i paid an amount of R9 000.00 purchasing Sealy Posturepedic King Bed, the store informed me that it will be ordered from the factory and that it will be delivered in 15 working days. However, the bed was delivered on 2019-08-30. Upon my arrival at home i noticed that the bed was damaged on the base and i immediately contacted the store to notify them, the store promised to take the matter up with the factory, weeks went by without hearing anything from them and when making a follow up i was referred to the factory which i find odd because i paid the store and not the factory. The factory asked me to send a pic where the damage was and i did that, factory never communicated with me afterwards, a week later when making a follow up factory told me that the bed was long discontinued and the store must replace the bed. A week later when not hearing anything from the store i visited the store and they told me that nobody told them to replace the bed, the manager by the name of Keneth asked me to pay extra R1 000.00 to make up for a new bed because the one that i bought is no longer available. I flatly refused because i chose the bed from the floor and not from the catalog, i told him that it's not my mistake that they were selling discontinued stock. I was later made aware by the store that the base will be replaced and that it's of a different color from the mattress and i objected to that. Since then every time i inquire i'm taken from pillar to post, today, monday 2019-10-21 i contacted their HQ complaints department and i was shocked to learn that my complaint was not even registered and was only registered after my call. I feel angry and unfairly treated, i paid money hoping for the good product but i'm the one taking all the effort to resolve the matter and the store is doing absolutely nothing to assist, only a sales assistant lady has been understanding and helpful although her efforts are being suppressed by those in higher position than her.
