Rochester Clearwater Substandard Quality and Disgusting Customer Service

Giving Rochester Clearwater a single star is because I am forced to in order to proceed.

I purchased two couches from these guys in February and from the day of delivery I have been sitting on the floor because couches despite being pure leather which I was told was graded started developing bubbles that show that it will peel over time on the arm rests.

The stitching on the two seater also started coming loose. On reporting this I was told that I was after their 7 day return policy but eventually they came to collect the couches when the Lockdown restrictions were lifted. They kept the couches at their warehouse for over a week and a half and returned the couches untouched but their delivery note showed that there were repaired. On sending them back these people had 3 people call me talking about collecting couches that I did not have.

The warehouse has loaded pictures of a couch that they claim is mine which looks 10 years old. Taking into consideration that I have not used the couches due to the faults, I am not sure where the couch they have pictures of comes from.

I went to the store at Clearwater and the manager Lydia and her sales person Mandla took no responsibility for the sub standard quality they sold me nor the responsibility of making sure my refund gets paid back to me. They simply passed this to the supplier and their warehouse. When I asked for my money back I am being sent from pillar to post. I have paid R38 409 to be sitting on the floor. Each follow up I am told how they have not received what they need to process my refund.

All this while they go to the comfort of their fully furnished living rooms and I am stuck on the floor of mine.

I have gone to their store and each time it is as if they are studying my case afresh.

I am disgusted at the empty quality promise they made to me when I bought the couches and now I am over R38k out of pocket and spending time in my living room on the floor 6 months later.
