DO NOT EVER BUY FROM ROCHESTER HOME AND DECOR

I am disgusted and shocked at the service that I have received from Rochester and the JD group. In January I app**** for very expensive couches from Rochester in Boksburg and I spoke to a salesman names Kagisos who promised us the best service and the best delivery and the best quality which was not what I received. I was informed that these couches would take six to eight weeks to make as it was a special order and the debit order would later be confirmed once I had received my couches and providing I was happy with the quality I received. The week before and during the week of scheduled delivery Kagiso called me about three times as well as the depot to confirm delivery for Friday 7 March 2020. 3 people took leave that day to sort out removal of the old couches and be available for the new delivery of 4 new couches. The delivery was confirmed for 12:00 that day and only two out of four couches arrived. I tried calling the store while I was at work which means I had to take time out of my busy schedule at work to sort out the problem and I get hold of a gentleman named Colin and was told Kagiso no longer worked there. I spoke to Colin and told him that I urgently need my couches as there is a function at my house the next day. After many calls to Colin and the depot, Collin confirmed that delivery would take place the next day at 10:00. The next day I tried calling Colin between 8 and 10:00 with no answer and no couches delivered as yet. When I called I kept getting told that Colin is busy. Salesman answered and when I asked for the number of the person in charge I was told but it is not their problem and nobody there can assist me. This battle went on until 12:00 when I was then told by Colin that the depot is closed. After eventually screaming and calling over the phone he offered to loan us two of the store display couches and that when they deliver the new couches, the loan couches would be taken at the same time. The next week when our new couches were delivered, the delivery guys refused to take the loan couches with them and threatened to leave with the new couches, so badly that my mother had to stand infront of the gate outside in the rain with my baby in her arms to block them from leaving. After many calls including me calling Francis at JD Group, they eventually took the other couches. It was signed on the deliver note that the new couches are lopsided, levers get stuck and the filling is not even throughout the couches. Colin informed me that it will take another 6 weeks as they will make 2 new couches and then deliver those to us and we will proceed with payments thereafter. After this I received calls everyday from the financial department about my debit order and I kept telling them that Colin said we are waiting for our replacement couches and then only will a debit order go off. I refused to confirm any debit order. During all of this time I had also been communicating with Francis Richards at JD Group via phone calls as nobody was willing to give me any email addresses. Today 31/03/2020 a debit order has gone off for the couches. I am absolutely furious at this service. During this time from the stress caused and having a function with no couches, I was at the ER for a threatened miscarriage and then a few days later a miscarriage . I spoke to a lawyer as it was medically confirmed to be due to stress. I decided not to sue Rochester and JD group but will if this continues.
