Bad service at Rochester Stoneridge

<p>Shoo shocking to see all the negative reports on Rochester. If I had known such negative reviews then I would have not purchased from them. On 21st July I bought a wooden coffee table from Rochester Stoneridge. I went to their wharehouse in Boksburg to collect the item. BTW the store manager gave me the wrong number of the address and it took me a good half hour to locate the correct address! They gave me a thin box and I said I cannot assemble the item by myself, being a woman who don't know these things, and they assisted. I requested beforehand that I need to check the item before I took it from the warehouse but they assembled the item, boxed it and bubble wrapped it tightly. They did not let me check the item before they boxed it. When I took it home and undid the wrapping, I found a huge scratch on the wooden table. I have now phoned several times to request a new coffee table or a refund but I have not heard feedback from the store manager or anyone. I phoned Derrick from Head Office and he too has not received feedback of the status of my request. I have now referred the matter to the consumer protection act and will pursue with legal action should they not resolve my issue!!!! Watch this space!</p>
