An unhappy customer

On Friday the 29th, I visited Rochester The Grove Mall in Pretoria. The service I received from the young “forgot his name” was excellent because I was interested on 2 items, a coffee table and couch which the couch was on special right.

So I asked when was the Black Friday ending since I’m only getting later that Friday and he was even nice to say on the 2nd of December. I asked if he was working on Sunday or Monday because on Saturday the 30th I won’t make because I had a ballet show. He then said I can come on Monday cos Sunday he won’t be around but Monday he is available and I can come anytime.

So to cut the long story short, yesterday I visited the store in hope to buy my couch only to be told that the special is no more, the prices went back. I ask how because it’s still the 2nd? I was then told that the sms just came through around 16:07pm and I arrived between 16:10 and 16:20pm, mind you when I get to the shop the prices were still off Black Friday. They didn’t remove the prices as instructed by the “Manager”.

As I asked to purchase for the price that I am seeing right now they refused. Asked for the store manager and was told he/she is not around. I asked them to call him with no luck. I then again asked what’s the way forward? Mind you, still at that time “16:30 to 16:40pm” the prices are still off Black Friday. Another customer can come through with the same perspective as mine.

To cut the long story, I left the store without the couch that I had anticipated to buy. I was very disappointed because if I was told that the special won’t be available after 4pm, would have came earlier. As I had told the Gentlemen at the store that I’ve been at the mall but running other errands thinking the couch purchasing will be the last thing as I go home but to a disappointment. And I have their customer for long but after yesterday, very disappointed as I’m sitting with no couch.
