Absolute ****py after sales service
I spent a decent amount of money at the Atterbury store in 2010 / 2011. We are talking +- R80 000. About a year after my purchases the (very expensive) recliner couch would not recline anymore. I was in and out the store, (who at least tried to be helpful) on the phone to head office, writing letters, phoning again, back to the store for about 4 months, if I recall correctly. Eventually, after a lot of drama and threats, the couch was collected and repaired.

It was ok for about another year or two, then it started again, same problem. At this point, I turned the couch over to see if I can manage to see something, and to my shock and horror, I saw the disgustingly, cheap pine parts! For a couch currently worth R35 000!! What a rip-off! No wonder it does not last.

I sent messages through the website's inquiry page, no reply, not even an acknowledgement of my complain.

I am utterly disgusted, and no matter how beautiful the Rochester furniture is, I will spread the word that they love to take your money (for their overpriced - low quality goods), but refuse any after sales service.
