Medical Equipment not regisstereo even though I was assured that it was at the time

Purchased a coaguchek unit. At the time of collection and payment, I was assured that it was a registered medical aid approved device and that I could expect my medical aid to cover the cost of the device as well as supplies - strips and needles. 18 months down the line I'm still waiting for for feedback and a progress report or confirmation that the device had been registered. I've not been able to claim the costs back on the unit or strips from my medical aid because it's not registeredisclose.
