defective product and marketing

I purchased an Eames chair replica from Robert-Thomson.com over 2 years ago for my office and was disappointed that it did not match the replica status that it purported to reflect. As it was a replica after all, i still kept in my office to occupy a space that i had for it. For the record in that time it was in my office i must have used it or sat on it maybe once a week for maybe an hour to half hour maximum just to read an article or doing nothing.

I renovated my office over 6 months ago and moved the chair to my TV room hoping to get more use out of the chair and which i have. I noticed that the trimming on the chair started to peel of and the button on the chair came loose. I contacted a friend of mine who works as in interior decorator to have a look at the chair and he confirmed that the trimming is not leather . I subsequently contacted Robert Thomson via email with pictures of the fault. they have since rep**** and stated that the replica Eames chair is sold with the trimming and the buttons not in leather but the rest of the chair is, and further mentioned that this was pointed out to me or should have been pointed out to me at the time of the sale. I have sent all correspondence to them requesting when this should have been pointed out to me because neither the correspondence or the website which i bought it off mentions that.

i have since received no further communication from them despite my request to do so.

very disappointing.
