A Legitimate Company that operates ILLEGITIMATELY

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT USING ROANZA FURNITURE!!!!!

24/07/2020 I requested a quote and turnaround time (30 Days Max) from the respective company. 04/08/2020 I ordered my couches with them with a deposit 50% of R7,675. 09/09/2020 I follow-up on their progress. As we are in pandemic I understand a lot of companies were dealing with backlogs and were working under extraordinary conditions. So I was honestly expecting delays. A representative tells me they are going to check with the warehouse and get back to me. She does not revert back to me. 10/14/2020 I notice that there were some disgruntled customers commenting on their posts wanting their money back. So I follow-up again. 10/14/2020 they tell me my order is in production and should be ready for delivery next week. 16/11/2020 I follow-up again, they ask for my invoice number, I provide it. No reply. Wednesday I write to them again, they say they have started my couches they will send me confirmation of delivery before end of business. I got nothing.

I decided to go to their warehouse 20/11/2020 and the security at the gate informed us that in fact those are their offices and they haven’t opened in more than a month. We explained our situation and he said; plenty of upset customers come there with similar complaints and went as far as saying some of them come with cops. He then directed us to their actual warehouse. To my surprise, after going back and forth with the management, we found my couches haven’t even been started.

So I write on My Instagram Story and tag them and a representative replies. She/He says my couches will be ready on Wednesday and they sent me a message yesterday which is A LIE. I tell the person that I just come from their shop and we exchange words. Now, I just checked their Facebook Community and Twitter and noticed SO MANY are experiencing the same problem as me. Some have been waiting for their refunds for 3 Months.

21/11/2020 I visit the workshop again, this time guns blazing. I was UPSET and i wanted my money. The employees kept on telling that they cannot get hold of the owner and put me in touch with Lerato, who apparently is his sister. After going back and forth with her. I went to Midrand Police Station and I was told they had no cars and I should come back Monday and we will be escorted by investigating officers who will act as mediators between myself and the owner. I was obviously not happy with this. I returned to the store and I threatened to take his equipment if he does not return my money. All of a suden, they were able to get hold of him. But He refused. I took all his equipment and headed to Midrand Police Station. He threatened to sue me for Loss of Income and open a Case for Theft and Trespassing. I advised him that I have no intention of holding his equipment. Since the police cannot come to us, I have gone to them. I was hoping he would come but he said he is in Middelburg. I consulted with a lawyer ane he advised me to return his things and take the owner on in Civil Court.

They are clearly a legitimate company that stands but how they operate is ********* and so unprofessional. I believe people deserve to know.
