Swaziland MTN Bushfire
Thank you Roadtrippers for yet another amazing trip. Swaziland MTN Bushfire was definitely fire!!
I really suggest that Roadtrippers look into how they manage time if rules are set everyone should follow the same. I was on time for departure to the festival on Saturday and I got at the parking lot in time exactly 15:30pm just when I wanted to get in the shuttle Kevin and Max told the driver to leave even after I tried explaining that I am also going as they could see that I was on time but there was no grace given at All not even a minute given. I was never late on the entire trip and yet Kevin and Max didn't even bother explaining to me why they instructing the driver to leave when am on time and literally next to shuttle to get in.
We left over 30 minutes late to the cultural village in the morning of Saturday but we patiently waited in the bus with no complains, so if it's about time then they are definitely not practicing what they trying to preach. I have traveled with Roadtrippers more than twice and had ever had to top up nor even be left behind deliberately stranded. I had to pay R400 to get to the festival on Saturday when there was no need at all. Kevin and Max needs to treat people the same. I did NOT appreciate being publicly humiliated and disrespected. Their respond to the matter was distasteful especially laughing at me and throwing hands like am some fool when am exactly on time. I might not be their freind but I also rightfully paid like everyone else, so be fair to everyone you're hosting. Don't punish people who respected all the rules and was on time the entire trip just to teach others lessons. Be fair and respectful!!!
We also want to sincerely apologise for the way the situation was handled — this is not the kind of experience we want any of our travellers to have. We are looking into this matter internally, and will be reinforcing our expectations with our hosts to ensure that every guest is treated with fairness, consistency, and respect at all times.
You’ve raised an important point about time management and grace periods, and we take that seriously. We’ll be reviewing our approach to shuttle departures and how we communicate timing and expectations, so that no one feels left behind or unheard — especially when they’ve done everything right.
