Claim declined without any probure investigation

My name is Dudu Maduna I write this letter in hoping that you will be able to assist me with RAF claim matter that doesn’t make sense at all. I have seen you and your crew doing wonderful, amazing work for the public that’s why I feel that you are the last hope for me and my family.

In 2001 me and my siblings lost our mother in a taxi accident which left us in a very hard state, my father went and submitted the claim in time at RAF we do have the reference number. He opted to go through the attorneys to submit it at first however when he went to RAF to check if the attorneys have submitted the claim, the agent advised my dad that its best that he submit the claim directly to RAF rather than the attorneys ways as they intend to ***** people with the outcomes as she will help him with the process, my dad listened and went got the file from the attorneys and gave it to the lady by the name of Maggie so it can be claimed directly from RAF as she said. My dad waited for feedback but nothing until he called, he went back to be told that the claim is being declined due to that he was working, and he can provide or manage to take care of us his 3 children, however RAF will pay out the funeral cost which no money was paid out to the family.

This matter has been disturbing me for years, I know its been over 22 years since the claim was submitted, but I was only 17 years, my brother 12 and my sister was 6 years how come was the claim denied as we were only kids, we have seen people get money from RAF coming from wealthy families and getting millions as pay-outs but declining us the opportunity to go to schools as I was doing matric when my mother pass and my father was earning only R1500.00 monthly(still have the salary slip).

I went to RAF office at Parktown they confirmed what my dad told us and I was told I can’t reopen the case to dispute the outcome of the claim because its more than 5 years, I asked what happened to the funeral money that my dad was told it will only be the money he will get from RAF he waited and nothing was paid, I was told that my dad didn’t submit the funeral documentation, I told the agent that my dad was not informed of such information and he didn’t go to school as he is not educated. Worse no one came to investigate that we are doing well at home for them not to approve the claim.
