I am writing to express my deep concern and dissatisfaction with the level of care my younger sister received at RK Khan Hospital. The series of events that transpired during her stay at your facility has been extremely distressing for our family and raises significant concerns about the quality of care provided to patients.

My sister had undergone several days of tests at private hospitals before being transferred to St. Mary’s Hospital. After waiting an entire day for tests at St. Mary’s, she was diagnosed and subsequently transported by ambulance to RK Khan Hospital. Upon arrival, it appeared that her diagnosis was received, yet she was left in a bed over the weekend as her condition worsened. Despite her file clearly stating that she required IV treatment, this treatment was not administered. There were multiple notations to "continue with IV treatment," yet no IV was provided throughout her stay.

Furthermore, it was noted in her file that she had tested positive for jaundice, yet no tests had been conducted to support this diagnosis. This negligence in diagnosis and treatment is deeply troubling.

The conditions of the ward where my sister was placed were deplorable. Other patients in the ward had sepsis from surgeries performed at your hospital. The room smelled of decay, creating an environment that felt overwhelmingly like "death looming." The cramped and unsanitary conditions are unacceptable for any healthcare facility.

This situation has caused our family immense emotional distress and has significantly impacted my sister’s health. The lack of appropriate medical attention, combined with the substandard conditions of the hospital, is unacceptable. We entrusted your hospital with her care and feel that she was severely let down.

I urge you to address these issues promptly to ensure no other patient has to endure such an ordeal. I expect a thorough investigation into my sister’s case and the overall conditions of the hospital wards. Additionally, I request a written response detailing the actions that will be taken to rectify these issues and prevent them from occurring in the future.
