Riverrun Resort....never again

I have recently stayed at Riverrun Resort, South Africa. Riverrun Resort...., I will never, book accommodation to stay with you. The owner, you advertise on our local radio station and your website that you indeed provide game drives, however, when enquiring at the resort, these services are no more provided. Totally unacceptable. No safety jackets or helmets are provided for recreational activities on the river. No lifeguard assisting while residents participate in recreational activities on the river. Although an indemnity form is signed it is totally unacceptable to see kids on the river tubes without such safety gear. The tap close to the permanent Fish Eagle tent that I have stayed in, were leaking water continuously. You have added tape around it, and was never fixed during my stay. Dustbins has no lids and were not cleaned on a regular basis during my stay. This attracted flies and were smelly. In the mens ablution facilities, Only four toilets had been in working condition. Only four showers in working condition. The resort had a lot of guests, these facilities are not sufficient. During my five day stay, not once was my bedsheet changed. Flooring in the permanent Fish eagle tent is in a very bad condition for what I had to pay per night. Side flap of tent had been fixed only on the last day stay and on enquiring that it should be sorted, I had to wait for a long time before this has been done. Only a few basins for dishes, are available. These are not sufficient based on your occupancy rate for campers that stayed from the 28 December - 03 January. I have noticed that campers wash their dishes and then empty the dishwashing water on the river embarkment. Lack of facilities. Definitely not eco friendly.
