Disgusting customer care - Ford Richards Bay

I took my 2015 Wildtrak to Ritchie Auto Richards Bay branch for a 130 000km service. An inspection was done with the service reception team as normal, and I handed the vehicle to them. I was called during the morning and informed that the front discs, disc pads and rear number plate light needed changing. I authorised this.

I went through to fetch my vehicle just after 16h00. According to the service advisor all went well and the hand brake was adjusted as well...no issues noted. She gave me the vehicle keys in the office, and I proceeded alone to the vehicle. As a rule, I did my own inspection as nobody came out with me to conduct one. I found that the rear right number plate light holder was cracked on one corner and the light holder was hanging loose by its cable. I immediately proceeded back to the office and informed the service advisor who then came out to have a look. After much discussions, I was taken to the Service Manager. This is where my disappointment and disgust kicked in. She was totally rude and condescending claiming that I may have brought my vehicle in with a damaged holder - inadvertently accusing me of lying. I assured her that I am very particular about my vehicle and ensured it was always in good condition. I also informed her that this was not found broken during the morning inspection. She continued to defend her point. I then informed her that this was not the first time I had quality issues at Ritchie Ford. Her response is what disgusted me. She said, “Then why do you keep bringing your vehicle here?” I could not believe that this is the kind of customer service Ritchie Ford wants to give their patrons. I take great offence to this and expect a response on this complaint. She was totally cold and indifferent and showed no urgency to resolve the issue. After wasting almost 30 minutes of my precious time, other personnel, hearing the noise, came to my assistance. They sourced a holder from the spares division and replaced the broken one with no further issues. I tried thereafter via telephone calls and emails to get in touch with the Dealer Principal - Mr Wayne Ritchie - but to date I have received no response as all. This is probably the last straw that will now steer me away from another Ford Ranger - despite the fact this was always my dream vehicle. In my opinion and experience, Ritchie Auto is definitely not a place to go to for if you are looking to be treated with respect.
