Taken advantaged of

Its been weeks now struggling with my car wondering if its my battery or wiring or what ever. Being stranded woman alone many times my frustration was at its limit. Yesterday the 05 of October 2021 I went to supa quick to check my battery. Upon test the results were perfect. Upon test of alternator results were perfect. I was then instructed to try an auto electrician. As I left I stopped to grab lunch at Seamens Randburg and once again once left with a dead car. I immediately googled auto electrician and lucky there is one right behind them inside their caldusac. The security guard helped run start my car and I stopped at Beven Williams Rightway Automotives. When I waled into the office I was almost in tears at this point and greeted by a lovely receptionist and a guy there named Christian. I explained to him what the issue was and he immediately told me it sounds like my starter motor. Then I enquired as to cost and he told me worst case R2500 but he will test and get back to me. I waited 30mins quiet happily as I thought for once my issue would be resolved. Christian then handed me a quote with the amount of R3100 on with a battery on it being R1800. I know I am a woman however raised by my father whom is a mechanic himself and a friend who sells batteries and I know that is not the price for a battery for an opel corsa light. I refused the battery stating that I had just gotten it checked and was then told "well, then the warranty wont be valid because you didnt take a battery" I was taken aback because how does that work, but I just wanted to get it done with so I could get on with life. They ended up only changing the front cables and left the earth cables. Anyways, car started there, I was so happy and left for work. On my leaving work my car did the same thing and didnt start. SO I called the battery place again and ended up buying a brand new battery. once fitted... you guessed it.. still didnt work. This morning I decided to go to a another auto electrician and after test was told it was in fact my starter and it was done and GUESS what. car works like a dream. I am sick to my stomach of being taken advantage of and know that just because i didnt fork out for the madly expensive battery my car was done fixed properly by Rightway Automotive and they probably did that on purpose so that I may come back and they would end up charging me for a new motor and get the money they wanted out of me and then some. LADIES PLEASE be careful of this place. I was truly upset and almost in tears and I guess that was a shining light on my forehead for a pay check. Totally disgusted. R2200 waisted when I am struggling so much already. Shame on them
