Deceiving the hotel guests

<p>Riebeek Valley Hotel has a 4 star rating according to the websites and certificate displayed in reception. The "superior category" room that we stayed in did not comply to the requirements of a 4 star room. After booking in we went up to the room. It was clean and neat with a big shower as we requested. Only after settling in we noticed there was no bar fridge, only 3 tv channels ( channels were changed remotely when busy watching a movie!!!), the water in the shower did not drain, it was overflowing onto the bathroom floor after a short while, only one side of the toilet flush button worked, the hot water tap in the basin was on the right and the balustrade in front of the sliding door was broken and a safety hazard. When complaining to the owner he just said he is aware of the hotel not complying to a 4 star rating (as advertised), although he did asked what channel we wanted to watch...... which was later changed probably on the request by another guest!<br />In our room there was a box tv with 3 channels - should have been a flat screen with 12 channels. No hair dryer (should be hair dryer for a 4 star hotel) All the shelves where open and the hanging area was not suitable for a full length clothing.<br />Only one bedside table - should be 1 per sleeping position. <br />Unacceptable!</p>
