Had a third-party claim against the insured of Old Mutual Insure Insurance Company which involved Quest Claims Solutions on behalf of the insurance company and Ridge & Associates Insurance Brokers on behalf of the insured. What a joke. Constantly trying to get me to accept less than what was due and bullying me into signing and accepting their terms and conditions, which were not in my favour and *********. Dragged the process out forcing me to take their insured to court and then paid on the order of the court in my favour. Waste of time, effort and money and could have been handled more professionally and promptly. Bad service from all these companies. Will make sure that I never utilise the services of these companies in the future.

Unfortunately, I can't speak on behalf of Old Mutual Insure and I hope they respond to you directly on the same complaint that you have copied and pasted under their name.

I did explain to you from the outset that it would be far easier to claim from your own insurer and then let them claim back from Old Mutual Insure in full. I assured you that as the matter of liability was not being contested, you would receive your excess back and your good record with your insurer would remain intact

Although this might seem counter intuitive, you are not a client of Old Mutual Insure, therefore asking them to refund you directly creates a longer process to finalise the claim. It's far better to let the insurance companies do the paperwork between themselves, especially as this was a simple matter.

I did everything in my power to be helpful and efficient. As the broker, we have to follow the procedures that are put in place by the insurance companies. When used correctly, they are fast and efficient.
