Thoroughly disappointed and dissatisfied with the service☹️

I am thoroughly disappointed and dissatisfied with the service of the Durban campus. We pay our hard earned money to give our child a good education but we are being treated like uneducated people who don't know their rights.

I have been writing to the institute to query the discrepancy of my son's academic results. Some of the marks appearing on the student portal are different from the marks on his official result sheet.

1. RFA411 - Financial Accounting N4 Exam month : 6 Full Period mark: 52 Official result sheet mark: 33%

The official result sheet / statement issued states that he failed Accounting with an exam percentage of 33% whereas on the portal it appears that he passed Accounting with 52%.

2. RFA411 - Financial Accounting N4 Exam month : 11 Full Period mark : 70 Result: Fail - Absent from exam Official result sheet mark: 32%

The official result sheet /statement issued to him states that he passed Accounting with 70% whereas on the portal it appears that he failed with an exam percentage of 32%. Furthermore, HE WAS NOT ABSENT FROM THE EXAM!!

I am rather concerned and confused by this discrepancy, and can't seem to make sense of it. Furthermore I would be very upset if this was indeed an error on the institution's part. Hence I'm writing to you with the hope to get clarification regarding this as a matter of urgency. Needless to say, the absence of the Financial Accounting lecturer and cancelation of classes on numerous occasions in year 2021 is also something that doesn't sit well with me as a parent and is of great concern. Which would also as a result impact the academic progress of any learner for that matter.

I would appreciate some clarification on this adding that I'm also requesting his interim/ provisional transcript consisting of his marks or grades. Where applicable, the subject-wise credit value should be mentioned in it, considering the grading system followed by the institution. I further request to be sent a copy of his actual Financial Accounting exam papers that he wrote to make comparisons.

If possible, I would also appreciate the following information:

The overall grades received by the student for the entire academic course thus far The total number of students in the class (overall strength of the class to compare where particularly the student (my son) ranks The average grade of the class to specify where particularly the student stands

Can the interim transcript also be signed with a stamp by the registry of the institution so that it may serve as an official document.

This will allow me to do my own due diligence accordingly and escalate the matter should there be a need.

Numerous emails have been sent to : *** *** *** ***

However there has been no response. Not even an email confirming receipt of my query.

This is very disappointing and disheartening.
