Third Year Registration

Good Day,

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the handling of my registration for my third year of studies at Richfield.

I have successfully completed my second year of studies and wish to proceed with registration for my third year. I acknowledge that I currently have an outstanding balance from my second-year fees. In good faith, I requested that this balance be carried over and added to my third-year fees.

However, despite multiple engagements with the administrator, I continue to receive the same response stating: “Please note that in order to process your registration, all previous fees must be settled.”

This response is concerning and contradictory for the following reasons:

The official application/registration form includes a specific field titled “Prior years’ fees outstanding”, which reasonably implies that students are permitted to register while carrying forward outstanding balances.

I have also come across a publicly available LinkedIn post indicating that a Richfield student was allowed to graduate despite having outstanding fees. This further suggests that there is precedent for academic progression with unpaid balances.

As a student who has successfully completed the required academic work for my second year, I find it unfair and discouraging that I am being prevented from continuing my studies, especially when institutional documentation appears to allow for outstanding balances to be recorded.

I respectfully request:

A reconsideration of my request to register for my third year while carrying forward the outstanding balance.

I am committed to completing my qualification and settling my financial obligations, and I believe this matter can be resolved fairly and transparently.
