Serious Concerns with Distance Learning at This Institution

Prospective students should carefully reconsider before enrolling in this institution’s distance learning programs. From the beginning, it has been a continuous struggle to have the needs of distance learners acknowledged—particularly those who are working professionals. Each semester involves repeated back-and-forth communication to secure reasonable extensions for tests and exams, which are often scheduled without regard for our availability.

Communication and administration are particularly poor. Some students are only informed they must rewrite a failed test on the day of the rewrite itself, leaving no time to prepare. Study guides are inconsistently structured and often lack clarity, despite the institution allocating time and resources to moderate tests and exams for accuracy.

A further concern is the apparent removal of complaint-related emails from student Outlook accounts, which raises serious questions about transparency and accountability.

Overall, the distance learning experience has been disappointing and frustrating. Despite paying the same tuition fees as on-campus students, distance learners receive significantly less support and value. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this institution—even if the education were offered free of charge.
