Richfield Umhlanga Campus

I am currently a Second year BSc IT student. my experience at Richfield has been a fulfilling journey that I still am on. it actually started three years ago when I decided to do my Higher Certificate in IT. I was initially skeptical because I had no prior knowledge in IT but I was interested in the field. Luckily, there was no prior requirement needed. Infact, I was taught IT as if I had no prior knowledge at all. I completed my Higher Certificate in 2022, achieving all distinctions. My smooth experience and growing interest in IT convinced me to study further.So i then decided to study for my degree the very next year. we, the students were welcomed with a new campus manager Mr Singh and he brought with him major changes. In my perspective, it was all necessary changes for the improvement of Richfield. One of the changes, was that he made it so that every Wednesday was a 'Wacky Wednesday' giving students half the day free to socialise with each other by part taking in interactive games such as karaoke, charades, etc. and sporting activities. This made Richfield a well rounded college. I, myself became more involved in the activities that took place in Richfield. I joined the chess club, and currently I'm the leader of the events committee, which plans events and Wacky Wednesdays at Richfield. Richfield as become my second home and Mr Singh has become our dad away from home. I'm glad to be apart of the Richfield family :)
