Richfield Umhlanga Campus: A Balanced Campus Experience With Room for Improvement

As a contact learning student on our campus, I have mixed feelings about our College experience. On the one hand, I appreciate the emphasis on technology in our studies. The online resources and digital access to study materials and assignments have made learning more convenient and flexible. The lack of heavy textbooks is a welcome relief!

Our campus also boasts good lecturers who are knowledgeable, supportive, and dedicated to our academic growth.

However, I feel that our campus falls short in terms of outdoor games and social events. While we have some indoor activities such as karaoke and art activities, the only outdoor games available is soccer and netball. This limited options leave us with little opportunity to engage in physical activity and team-building exercises.

To improve the social aspect, I suggest organizing more events like the Freshers' event, which will be a great success in bringing students together. Additionally, year-end functions and touring to other colleges for social gatherings would be fantastic ways to broaden our horizons and build relationships with fellow students from other institutions. Arranging big social gatherings and festivals would also be a great way to promote socialization and a sense of community.

Overall, our campus has its strengths in terms of technology integration and excellent lecturers, but I look forward to witnessing improvements in the areas of outdoor games and social events to create a more well-rounded college experience.
