Richfield Umhlanga Campus

As I look back on my first year studying a Bachelor of Science in IT at the Richfield Umhlanga campus, I am amazed at how quickly the time has flown. When I first enrolled, I expected to spend all my time behind a computer screen, but my experience has been so much richer than that.

Academically, the BSc IT program has challenged me, but the highlight has definitely been the campus culture. I made a promise to myself to get involved, and I’m so glad I did. From the high energy of Sports Day to various social club events, there was always something happening to balance out the studying. The specific IT conferences hosted by the campus were a major bonus, giving me a glimpse into the real tech world and what my future career might look like.

However, what truly defines Richfield Umhlanga for me is the people. I have made a ton of new friends who have become my support system. But it’s not just the students, the staff here are incredible. It is rare to find an environment where you can genuinely call your lecturers and even the Campus Manager your friends, but that is exactly what happened here. They are approachable, supportive, and genuinely care about our success.

It has been a incredibe year of growth, networking, and fun. Bring on Year 2!
