My first year at Richfield had been an eye opening experience that was both challenging and rewarding

My first year at Richfield had been an eye opening experience that was both challenging and rewarding. I was introduced to new subjects, new teaching styles, and a faster learning pace. Although the workload was heavier than in high school, I learned to manage multiple modules, and adjust to different lecturers’ teaching styles. I was very nervous to be in a new environment, but as I spent more time in Richfield, I became more comfortable and found myself eager to go to college even more. My lecturers were so passionate in what they do, that it made me become passionate aswell and motivated to try my hardest. Richfield pushed me out of my comfort zone and encouraged me to interact with new people, ask questions, and seek help when needed. Although there were moments of stress and self-doubt, the experience taught me resilience and confidence. Overall, my first year taught me responsibility and independence I look forward to my second year and what it has in store for me.
