i was given a wrong warranty contract for a laptop . A BRAND NEW LAPTOP that broke within 5 months

Good day i have an issue with a laptop i bought from Richfield it broke in the first 5 months and when i looked at the warranty it was not even meant for me as i paid cash and the warranty is more for students who received it free .. i was told my warranty voided when i opened up the laptop to see what's the issue was because the screen went black and the power remained on .. i just removed the battery and i also have a A+ Certificate to do so .. a new motherboard was installed and no reason could be given as to why it faulted . As per the college my warranty is now void even though the warranty was cancelling in December i was told its a 1 YEAR warranty

this is what i email to Richfield ..

Good Day Can the laptop issue please be resolved asap....i need a laptop as i am currently enrolled with online tutoring for Network Essentials for this month only I was advised that as soon as the new curriculum for next year is available then only I will be able to get a date for my N+ ... I don't know whether it's a new 3 months course or a date to write the examination. With all due respect I am still at the same position I was when I sent my complaint. I could have gone to pinnacle myself and shown them their mistake.. These are my issues.. 1: I paid cash for the laptop which means it belongs to me and not the college. 2. The warranty ends this December regardless. 3. The contract states for first year students or those for diplomas.. My stay was for only 6 months... And again I paid cash for the laptop... 4. I followed protocol and the power button remained on but nothing worked... I only removed the battery... And that is standard procedure as I explained to pinnacle and showed my technician certificate. 5. If that voided my warranty why did they still replace the motherboard. They couldn't give me a reason why the motherboard failed. My argument is what if it breaks again in a few weeks time. What then Surely if it was my fault then obviously it would have been noted. Still though.. Your warranty would have ended this December. I don't think you saw the Pic I sent regarding this. I even asked to change the size of the hard drive so I could feel somewhat satisfied with this.... I even offered to pay extra. Like I mentioned I didn't know what I bought and even though I asked to see the specs it was never presented... I was already a month and a half into my first paper and still had to wait another 2 weeks because it wasn't sorted out properly.... So when it came I had to just take it. My second paper N+ October-December and there aren't even books available even though I also paid cash.I had to ask for it to be postponed until next year because no one else would have done it.. And then within 5 months the laptop breaks... So can you imagine my frustration. And still my queries are being overlooked.. To show that I am at fault.. When the warranty is not even made out for me... I paid for the laptop... Pinnacle said you were not supposed to sell it to me because of the agreement they have with Richfield.... I'm not a one year student. I have a certified certificate to show I'm competent to open and fix computers with 10 years of experience... So I am asking cause I sure am not happy.. Will it be possible to return the laptop and get my money back.... Or get another, be it the same model but new.

Good afternoon Saliem,
We have  been dealing with your query via email and will continue engaging with you. As advised we will not be able to issue you with a new laptop or refund but will be  replacing the Main board with a 64GB main board even though you have opened the laptop on your own.
We had also taken you through the laptop specifications prior to you purchasing it. If you require anything further, please continue to engage with us.

My argument is the warranty that was given to me is until December whether the laptop broke or not it would have finished off in December. And still no answer on that, I bought the laptop in June so it was supposed to end off June next year... i have sent pics of the warranty and no mention of this by Richfield it clearly states that it will end this December, so I'm asking even though I have an A+ certificate you are telling me my warranty voided because I opened the laptop to only remove the battery MY only concern is what if it breaks again can you give me a guarantee … cause even pinnacle cant explain how the motherboard just failed like that .and they replaced the entire motherboard.

I was not AWARE OF WHAT I BOUGHT .I did ask for the specs to be sent but never received any. I made payment on the 15-JUNE AND 22 -June I STILL had to ask where it was Received it two weeks later deep in my 3 months course so I just took it …. my issue started the day it broke as I never used it that much i have a desktop too...
I Paid cash for it the warranty explains of you given it to students but it stays your property . i was never told that cause then i would have gone some place else and t bought it . AND what use do i have for the A+ certificate if you are telling me that its now void cause my A+ DOESNT COUNT. Wouldn't you be a little sceptical about it too..

The reason why i find it disturbing pinnacle never had a problem When i showed my cert.. otherwise they would not have replaced the motherboard surely it should have been voided then isn't it ..even myself i cant understand HOW it broke and i have been building them for the last 10 YEARS .. nor does it state that even if i have qualification i shouldn't open it. if you have read the warranty please explain where do I fit in as i never used your services i studied from home only write 2 examination papers at the campus , can i send The WARRENTY again via email and ya`ll can have it assessed .

I was told the exact same thing as before they will change the motherboard so this will be the second motherboard isn't it ? would it not be much more convenient less time consuming if it was just replaced with a new laptop because I'm the one doing all the run around .
And I still haven't received any feedback with regards to the laptops warranty
